The International Code Council applauds the introduction of the SMART Rebuilding Act

The Code Council supports bipartisan House Resolution 4455, the Supporting Mitigation Activities and Resiliency Targets for Rebuilding Act or SMART Rebuilding Act, sponsored by Congressmen Jeff Denham (R-Calif.) and Mike Capuano (D-Mass.). This bill aims to help communities rebuild stronger and recover more quickly after natural disasters by incentivizing them to build replacement structures to the most up-to-date building codes available.
