Chapter presidents honor peers and groupthink on leadership
At the Chapter Presidents’ Meeting, Chapter Merit Award winners — the Maine Building Officials and Inspectors Association and the Utah ICC Chapter — were recognized. The Regions Spotlight Award was given to ICC Region II, and the Chapter of the Year Award was given to the Connecticut Building Officials Association. After the awards were distributed, attendees were encouraged to have roundtable discussions on the topic “What should a new Chapter Leadership Manual contain?” In addition to the suggested topics assigned to each table, participants were free to move to the table with the topic of their choice, or to suggest other topics of particular interest to them.
