Call for board nominations extended
On Sept. 7, 2018, the International Code Council Board of Directors approved extending for an additional two-week period the call for board nominations. This two-week application period will begin on Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, and will end on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. Pacific.
This board action was prompted by the recent addition of a two-year unexpired at-large seat on the board. This is a one-time extension to the 60-day application deadline requirement set forth in Section 3.1 of Council Policy 20. Aside from this one-time extension, all other provisions and requirements set forth in CP-20 remain in effect.
In accordance with the Code Council bylaws, elections for officers and vacant positions on the board of directors shall be held on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, during the Annual Business Meeting in Richmond, Va. Individuals interested in applying to run for the board of directors shall submit to the chair of the Nominating Committee a letter of interest, a current resume, a letter of support from their jurisdiction and any other information necessary to support their candidacy by Monday, Sept. 24, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. Pacific. Candidates will be interviewed by the Nominating Committee on Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, and Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018.
