International Code Council voting members elected board officers and directors during the association's Annual Business Meeting at the 2018 Annual Conference in Richmond, Va. Bill Bryant, MCP, CBO, assistant director of the Inspections and Permits Department of Anne Arundel County, Md., was elected president. Greg Wheeler, chief building official, city of Thornton, Colo., was elected vice president. Cindy Davis, CBO, deputy director of the Division of Building & Fire
Regulations for the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development, was elected Secretary/Treasurer. Voting members also elected representatives to sectional and at-large positions on the board.

International Code Council Board of Directors President Jay Elbettar and Chief Executive Officer Dominic Sims responded to member questions and feedback and spoke on Code Council programs and initiatives during the ICC Members Forum. The event was the final stop of the 2018 Members Forum Roadshow.

At the Chapter Presidents' Meeting Monday afternoon, Chapter Merit Award winners — the Washington Association of Building Officials and the Building Officials Association of Texas — were announced. The Chapter of the Year Award was given to the Virginia Building and Code Officials Association.

The Code Council kicked off its conference with a Welcome Reception during the
2018 Building Safety & Design Expo, where attendees networked with peers, met with vendors, experienced the latest in products and services, and won various prizes in the Door Prize Giveaway.
