PEI joins the International Code Council’s family of solutions
The International Code Council announced that it has acquired Progressive Engineering Inc. (PEI), a product testing, evaluation and inspection agency. Based out of Goshen, Ind., PEI will expand the Code Council’s capabilities in product testing, evaluation and commercial off-site construction.
For more than 40 years, PEI has been recognized nationally for its expertise in engineering, product testing, evaluation and inspections. PEI has also been a leader in building code and test standard development as well as building material criteria.
“Off-site construction is one of the fastest-growing segments of the building and construction market,” said Code Council Chief Executive Officer Dominic Sims, CBO. “We enthusiastically welcome PEI to our family of solutions. The acquisition expands the products and services we offer our stakeholders, members and customers.”
“Since 1979, PEI has been committed to the latest in technology, products, equipment, procedures, building codes and service to our clients,” said PEI co-owner Greg Weeden. “We are directly aligned with the mission and values of the International Code Council, and we are excited about the many opportunities this will present.”
