Industry Professionals Can Help Develop the Next Generation of Building Safety, Fire Prevention, and Energy Efficiency Codes
ICC Committee Action Hearings Scheduled for April 17-27 in Louisville, Ky.
Code and fire officials, architects, engineers, designers, energy conservation experts and others have an opportunity to provide input on proposed changes to the next generation of building safety, fire prevention, and energy efficiency codes during the International Code Council’s (ICC) 2016 Group B Committee Action Hearings, April 17-27, at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, Ky.
Industry professionals will hear testimony and take action on proposed changes to ICC’s 2018 Group B International Codes, which consist of administrative provisions in all codes, the structural chapters in the International Building Code and the International Existing Building Code, the building and energy chapters in the International Residential Code, and all chapters in the International Fire Code, International Energy Conservation Code and International Wildland-Urban Interface Code. Following the hearings, Code Council Members can participate in the Online Governmental Consensus Vote (OGCV) that will be administered through cdpACCESS, ICC’s online tool for code development. To participate in the OGCV, Code Council Governmental Memberships must be current by March 18. Details are available at www.iccsafe.org/EVDS. Not an ICC Voting Member?
