Call for Committee: Two New Codes and Standards Committees

The International Code Council is currently seeking code officials, design professionals, contractors, engineers, government officials, manufacturers, installers and other industry stakeholders to volunteer for two new Code Council committees to help develop new standards.

The Foam Plastic Insulation Standard Committee (IS-FPI)

As an ANSI-accredited standards developing organization, the Code Council is revising ICC 1100, Standard for Spray-applied Polyurethane Foam Plastic Insulation, to maintain the standard with current industry practice.

Once appointed, this committee will convene to undergo the revision process in accordance with the Code Council’s ANSI Approved Consensus Procedures and the ANSI Essential Requirements for the development of American National Standards.

This Committee has primary responsibility for establishing the minimum physical and performance properties as well as application requirements for spray-applied foam plastic insulations.

3D Automated Construction Technology for 3D Concrete Walls Consensus Committee (IS-3DACT)

Once appointed, this committee will convene to develop the new ICC 1150-202X, Standard for 3D Automated Construction Technology for 3D Concrete Walls to establish minimum requirements for the evaluation of the structural performance of 3D concrete walls and proprietary concrete wall-to-floor connections designed in accordance with applicable building codes, including material and durability properties of proprietary 3D Concrete.

This committee will have primary responsibility for the development of minimum requirements and standards to safeguard the public health, safety, general welfare and address societal and industry challenges for the evaluation the structural performance of 3D concrete walls and proprietary concrete wall-to-floor connections designed in accordance with applicable building codes, including material and durability properties of proprietary 3D concrete.
