New Committee Meeting Announcement for Global Standard ICC 815

The International Code Council has announced a committee meeting in support of the new standard project – ICC 815 Standard for Sizing Water Distribution, Sanitary Drainage and Vent Piping Systems.

All Code Council standards committee meetings are open to the public and any interested party can participate and be considered for membership on workgroups that the committee creates.

Code Council standards are developed to address building industry challenges as they relate to compliance with the International Codes. Participating in these committees will help to shape these standards to ensure safe, affordable and sustainable communities and buildings worldwide. 

ICC 815 Standard for Sizing Water Distribution, Sanitary Drainage and Vent Piping Systems

The ICC 815 Technical Committee will be holding its first meeting on March 30, 2023, from 2 pm to 6 pm EDT in virtual format. 

This new global standard will establish minimum requirements for a comprehensive design methodology for sizing water distribution, sanitary drainage, and vent piping systems for residential, mixed-use, and institutional occupancies.  The standard will consider the technical advances in estimating water usage patterns and post-COVID-19 societal changes.
