Join the Code Council for the ICC Performance Code Consensus Meeting in Washington D.C.
This new edition of the ICCPC aims to provide a comprehensive framework that serves as an enhanced regulatory tool to facilitate more holistic building performance.
The development of the next edition of the International Code Council Performance Code (ICCPC) has been actively underway since December 2023. This new edition aims to provide a comprehensive framework that serves as an enhanced regulatory tool to facilitate more holistic building performance.
It seeks to fill existing gaps and address new areas such as operational performance and functional recovery requirements, which are essential for a healthier and more sustainable built environment.
Reimagining the ICC Performance Code
The updated ICCPC has the potential to foster more robust solutions and stronger connections to design methods, tools and data.
To support the development process, 10 specialized subgroups have been working diligently. The ICCPC Committee, approved by the Code Council Board of Directors on November 14, 2023, is overseeing this effort, guided by the Code Council Consensus Procedures, for which a PINS was filed with ANSI.
The next step in this process is an in-person meeting scheduled for September 24-25, 2024, at the Code Council headquarters in Washington, D.C. For more information, please see the Meeting Announcement.
The ICCPC can serve as a vital tool for countries with well-developed regulatory systems, like the U.S., to assist in the safe and holistic adoption of new and sustainable technologies. In regions where regulatory systems are still developing or require further refinement, the ICCPC can provide a foundational framework.
If you are interested in joining one of the subgroups, please let us know by submitting your request through the ICCPC subgroup Interest form.
