International Code Council Exhibits and Participates in a Panel Discussion on Sustainable Building Practices at Big 5 Global in Dubai
The Code Council’s participation in Big 5 Global reflects its commitment to fostering safe and resilient building practices throughout the MENA region.
The International Code Council will be participating in the upcoming Big 5 Global exhibition in Dubai, a leading trade show that attracts thousands of construction industry professionals from around the world. This year’s event will take place from November 26-29, 2024, at the Dubai World Trade Center.
As part of its continuous engagement, the Code Council will contribute to the event’s dialogue on sustainable development through a panel discussion entitled The Path to Zero: Energy Efficiency in HVAC Systems and Sustainable Construction.
The session will address the latest innovations in HVAC technology, as well as strategies for improving energy efficiency in construction. Drawing on its expertise in building safety and sustainability, the Code Council is uniquely positioned to contribute to this conversation.
Representing the organization as a panelist, Mohamed Amer, Regional Director of Operations for the Code Council’s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, will share insights on achieving net-zero energy efficiency in construction via methods that include abiding to modern building codes and the innovative use of building systems and its impact on the overall building lifecycle.
During the panel, Amer will share insights on how the Code Council’s comprehensive approach to building codes and standards can support the MENA region’s goal of developing high-performance, energy-efficient buildings.
“Our work in the region is about more than just code compliance; it’s about supporting an ecosystem that prioritizes sustainability, resilience and safety in construction practices,” Amer stated.
