ICC Board Member

Andre Jaen is a Colorado native and works for his hometown of Jefferson County, Colorado as the Permit Supervisor for the Division of Building Safety. Andre began his career in building safety working part time as a roofing inspector for City of Lakewood before becoming a building inspector for Jefferson County. After a few years of performing residential and commercial building inspections, Jaen was promoted to Permit Supervisor where he led a team of permit technicians. Since then, Andre has regularly contributed to training both locally and nationally including speaking at the 2019 ICC Leadership Academy.

Jaen holds 30 professional certifications including Certified Building Official, Certified Sustainability Professional and Master Code Professional. He was also a founding member of the Emerging Leaders Membership Council serving as Chair from 2020-2022, and the 2021 recipient of the Emory R Rogers Fellowship in Building Safety Leadership Award. Jaen holds a bachelor’s in political science from the University of Colorado, Boulder and is currently pursuing a master’s in public administration from the University of Colorado, Denver.
