Jordana Rubel is the General Counsel for the International Code Council. She oversees all of the organization’s legal matters with a particular emphasis on preserving and protecting its intellectual property rights.

Rubel joined the Code Council in 2023. Previously, she worked as the Assistant General Counsel at the United States Copyright Office. Her background also includes being an Associate with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP and Hogan Lovells U.S. LLP, where she litigated copyright and trademark cases in federal court.

Rubel earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Emory University School of Law, and a B.A. in History from Haverford College. She earned an M.Ed in Teaching and Curriculum from Harvard University School of Education.
