Code development: A process of evolution and improvement

As a part of the International Code Council’s established process – the premier codes and standards development process – several appeals have been filed in response to the 2019 Group B cycle. These appeals are currently making their way through the system. While some of these issues will be dealt with through the appeals process, other elements have raised opportunities for improvement in the long-term code development process. Those issues will be referred to a committee that was created to deal with long-term changes.
