2022 Group B Final Action Results Now Available

The final action results from the 2022 proposed changes to the International Code Council’s Group B International Codes® (I-Codes) are now available.

The I-Codes are a family of 15 coordinated, modern building safety codes that help ensure the engineering of safe, sustainable, affordable and resilient structures. Code officials, architects, builders, engineers, designers, plumbing professionals, construction trade associations and other interested parties provided input on proposed code changes to the Group B codes.

The Code Council Board of Directors certified the results of the online governmental consensus vote for the 2022 Group B cycle. The board reviewed the findings from an independent Validation Committee before making its decision. The Validation Committee determined that there was a valid voting process with no irregularities or concerns material to the outcome.
