International Code Council Family of Solutions Attends 2025 IBS / KBIS Tradeshows
The IBS and KBIS tradeshows offered a range of educational sessions, workshops and demonstrations aimed at providing attendees with strategies for addressing industry challenges.
From February 25-27, the International Code Council family of solutions joined industry professionals from the residential design and construction sectors at the 2025 National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) International Builders’ Show (IBS) and the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) expo in Las Vegas, Nevada, as part of the 12th annual Design and Construction Week (DCW).
The IBS and KBIS tradeshows offered a range of educational sessions, workshops and demonstrations aimed at providing attendees with strategies for addressing industry challenges. Participants also had the opportunity to explore emerging trends in home building and connect with like-minded professionals.
Showcasing the Code Council’s Expertise
As a long-time preferred sponsor of DCW, the Code Council and its subsidiary ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES), have supported both industry shows for over twenty years, underscoring their commitment to building safety.
At the IBS booth, ICC-ES exhibited a variety of programs, including CodeMark certification for the Australian market, new test lab capabilities, off-site construction solutions and a comprehensive listing and report program.
At the KBIS booth, ICC-ES highlighted the Safe and Sustainable Cabinetry program, WaterMark scheme accreditation for Australia and New Zealand and the WaterSense program, which focuses on water-efficient products.
On Tuesday, key industry leaders participated in The Windsor Declaration: Driving Global Change panel event, discussing the industry’s role in addressing water scarcity. The Code Council is a signatory of the Windsor Declaration, a global initiative aimed at tackling water scarcity and antimicrobial resistance.
Matt Sigler, the Code Council’s Executive Director for PMG, participated in the panel discussion on the Windsor Declaration alongside other esteemed panelists. As part of the panel discussion, Sigler emphasized the importance of joining together with industry leaders from around the world to address the challenges facing the industry.
“Because these issues can impact everyone, the Code Council believes an approach that engages industry and subject matter experts from around the world ensures that a solution, like a code or standard, will not only address public health and safety based on the latest research and best practices but consider regional and cultural differences that can greatly improve the likelihood of use on the global stage,” shared Sigler.
