Ryan Colker, Vice President of Innovation for the International Code Council, was recently appointed Chair of the National Institute of Building Sciences’ (NIBS) Off-Site Construction Council (OSCC) for 2023- 2025. In this role, Colker will help lead initiatives around regulatory consistency and much-needed education about off-site construction.
The OSCC was established in 2013 to help promote and advance the use of off-site construction methods within the building industry, and the council works to provide guidance, research and resources to support this goal. Their efforts include the development of guidelines, best practices and educational materials, as well as fostering collaboration among stakeholders in the construction industry to advance the use of off-site construction as a sustainable construction method.
