The Pangere Corporation is the first union contractor to achieve IAS accreditation for its metal building assembler inspection program

IAS’s rigorous accreditation process tests safety, training, inspection and compliance procedures to establish a benchmark for companies qualified to assemble and erect metal building systems

Brea, Calif. – The International Accreditation Service (IAS) approved its first union contractor, The Pangere Corporation, for metal building assembler inspection accreditation to IAS acceptance criteria 478 (AC478). AC478 is the benchmark for recognizing companies that are qualified to assemble and erect metal building systems.

The Pangere Corporation, a commercial and industrial contractor located in Northwest Indiana, is one of only ten contractors that has earned this accreditation from any agency. AC478 is recognized by the North American Iron Workers/IMPACT Labor-Management, Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association, Metal Building Manufacturers Association and the International Code Council.

“The IAS accreditation process includes an onsite assessment of inspection practices of the metal building assembler to provide evidence that they are following the management system and inspection practices and related criteria in AC478,” stated IAS President Chuck Ramani. “This includes evidence of following safety plans, training programs, inspection protocols and the organization’s method of determining compliance with contract documents. The Pangere Corporation is to be commended for meeting the requirements of the IAS criteria and for being the first union contractor to have its inspection practices recognized under the IAS accreditation criteria.”

Steve Pangere, President and CEO of The Pangere Corporation, commented, “Achieving this accreditation demonstrates our commitment to continuous improvement and significantly differentiates us from the competition.”

“We have realized a great deal of value in the accreditation process. I believe that this accreditation will secure our status as a ‘Best in Class’ contractor in the inspection of metal building assemblies,” stated Tony Pangere, Vice President of The Pangere Corporation.
