DOE Building Energy Codes Program
The BECP is a government initiative that focuses on improving the energy efficiency of buildings through the establishment and implementation of up-to-date energy codes and standards.
The program’s primary goal is to promote the adoption of energy-efficient building codes and practices to reduce energy usage, lower greenhouse gas emissions and enhance overall building performance.
U.S. federal grant programs are available to assist state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) governments in implementing solutions to help reduce energy-related emissions and enhance resiliency and sustainability.
The International Code Council stands ready to work with SLTT governments to access these funds. Learn more, here.
