Key Code Council collaborations and initiatives highlighted in PMI’s 2024 Annual Report include:
- Water Efficiency and Lead-Free Products: PMI and the Code Council collaborated to enhance water efficiency and eliminate lead in plumbing products.
- World Water Awareness Campaign: PMI recognized the Code Council’s World Water Awareness Campaign, which promotes global awareness and long-term water conservation efforts.
- Water Conservation and Codes Study: PMI highlighted the Code Council’s collaboration with the University of Miami on a study emphasizing the need for municipalities to adopt updated water conservation standards, as outlined in the 2021 International Water Conservation Code Provisions.
- Sustainable Attributes Verification and Evaluation (SAVE) Program: PMI mentioned the ICC-ES SAVE Environmental Program which provides manufacturers with independent certification of their products’ sustainability, enabling the creation of Environmental Product Declarations.
