Call for Committees: International Energy Conservation Code Commercial Consensus Committee and International Energy Conservation Code Residential Consensus Committee
These consensus committees, once appointed, will convene to develop the 2027 IECC and Chapter 11 of the International Residential Code under its continuous maintenance process.
The International Code Council is currently seeking code officials, design professionals, contractors and other industry stakeholders to volunteer for both the International Energy Conservation Code® (IECC) Commercial Consensus Committee (IECC-CE) and the IECC Residential Consensus Committee (IECC-RE).
These consensus committees, once appointed, will convene to develop the 2027 IECC and Chapter 11 of the International Residential Code® under its continuous maintenance process. The committees’ activities will predominately be conducted through virtual online meetings.

Why You Should Consider Applying for a Committee
This call for volunteers is an opportunity for stakeholders to have a voice in the development of requirements for energy conservation that are used around the world to ensure public safety, sustainability and resilience of buildings.
Committee members will support the code development process by considering proposed changes to the codes, participation in working groups, established by the IECC-CECDC and IECC-RECDC, as non-voting members.
