The International Code Council is proud to announce the recipients of the 2024 Sponsored Scholarships. These outstanding individuals have been selected for their commitment to furthering their education and their aspirations to build impactful careers.
Generously funded by Code Council Chapters and contributors, these scholarships are intended to support the children of Code Council Members as they pursue higher education.
The Code Council Congratulates all the 2024 scholarship recipients:
C.D. Howard Scholarship
The C.D. Howard Scholarship is awarded by the Code Officials Association of Alabama in memory of C.D. Howard.
The 2024 recipient is Vanessa Toby Bell from Opelika, AL.
ICC General Scholarship
The Code Council General Scholarships were established to honor those essential to the formation of the Code Council and promote building safety and the public’s awareness of building and fire safety professionals.
The 2024 recipients are Aidan Edward Obermueller from Dubuque, IA, and Phylicia Ziping Wang from Pleasanton, CA.
J.W. “Bill” Neese Scholarship
The J.W. “Bill” Neese Scholarship is awarded by the Central Florida Chapter in honor of J.W. “Bill” Neese.
The 2024 recipient is Isabell Little Rodriguez from Junction, AZ.
Charlie O’Meilia Scholarship
The Charlie O’Meilia Scholarship is awarded by the Palm Beach County Florida chapter in honor of long-time member Charlie O’Meilia.
The 2024 recipient is Kevin Eduardo Hernandez Chavez from Sunrise, FL.
William J. Tangye Scholarship
The William J. Tangye Scholarship is awarded by the Code Council in memory of William J. Tangye, the first Chief Executive Officer of the International Code Council.
The 2024 recipients are Grant Alexander Borkman from Virginia Beach, VA, and Jada Storm Flannery from Albany, WI.
