New in-house plumbing products testing lab
The International Code Council's family of solutions introduces in-house testing for plumbing products
ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) and ICC NTA — both part of the International Code Council’s family of solutions — announced the opening of a brand new plumbing testing facility, located in Nappanee, Indiana. The lab has been granted accreditation by A2LA to certify to the CSA B45.5 / IAPMO Z124 standard and will be further expanding this scope in the near future. The ICC NTA Plumbing Test Lab has custom equipment for testing a wide variety of plumbing products, including but not limited to:
- Fixtures (tubs, showers, sinks, toilets, urinals, etc.)
- Fittings (faucets, showerheads, connectors, valves, etc.)
- RV plumbing components
- Pools and spas
The new plumbing products testing lab can test for material properties, structural performance, and water pressure/flow, and is capable of offering testing to standards published by:
- American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
- Canadian Standards Association (CSA)
- American Society of Sanitary Engineering (ASSE)
- ASTM International (ASTM)
- American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
- International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO)
- United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
- WaterSense®
