The Code Council Scholarship Program

The Scholarship Program supports the education of Code Council members and their families, encourages career advancement and participation in code development, and honors key contributors to the Code Council's mission.

The available scholarships include Sponsored, Code of Honor, Emory R. Rodgers Leadership in Building Safety Fellowship and Building Safety Leadership Experience.

Code of Honor Scholarships

Code of Honor professional development scholarships support the International Codes® consensus by funding Governmental Member Voting Representatives to attend the Code Council’s Committee Action or Public Comment Hearings.

Award: Funds to cover travel, lodging (up to the conference hotel rate) and ground transportation on a reimbursement basis for reasonable and customary expenses. Multiple recipients are chosen for each hearings session.

Emory R. Rodgers Leadership in Building Safety Fellowship

The Emory R. Rodgers Leadership in Building Safety Fellowship is awarded annually to a building safety professional pursuing an executive career path, aiming to enhance leadership skills through an eligible program sponsored by a higher education institution.

Award: Up to $20,000 covering program costs and travel expenses for the recipient.
One recipient is chosen annually.

Building Safety Leadership Experience

The Building Safety Leadership Experience (BSLE) offers members a unique chance to engage with Code Council leaders and stakeholders at the Code Council Annual Conference.

Award: BSLE participants receive complimentary conference registration and reimbursement for travel, lodging and other expenses. Multiple recipients are chosen annually.

Eligible applicants: Current Code Council members 25 years of age or older
