2012/2013 Code Interpretation Committees
The purpose of the ICC Interpretation Committees is to provide technical support for adopting jurisdictions by processing official interpretations for the International Codes. Committee Interpretations represent the official position of the International Code Council but in all cases, the final authority on matters of interpretation is the code official. There are currently 5 ICC Interpretation Committees.At this time, ICC is receiving applications for new members. Code Interpretation Committee members are considered for appointment by the newly formed Codes and Standards Council with final approval resting with the ICC Board of Directors. 2009/2010 Interpretations Committee members whose term expires December 31, 2011, must reapply to be considered for re-appointment. The acronym in bold is to be used to identify the Interpretation Committee you are applying for on the application.

Committee travel not anticipated. The Interpretation committees conduct business via conference calls and email correspondence.
