The International Code Council is currently accepting applications for the 2011 International Green Construction Code (IgCC) Committee.

2011 IgCC Code Committee. The 2010 IGCC Public Comment Hearing Committee has recently completed its hearing and has taken action on the public comments submitted to Public Version 1.0 (PV 1.0) of the IGCC. The revisions to PV 1.0 will be compiled into Public Version 2.0 (PV 2.0) which is scheduled to be posted November 3, 2010.

The posting of PV 2.0 initiates the start of the 2011 IgCC Code Development Cycle, with code change proposals due January 3, 2011. This will be a full cycle of ICC Code Development in accordance with Council Policy #28 Code Development, including two hearings to be held in 2011 – Code Development and Final Action Hearings. An IGCC Code Committee is being constituted, bringing the total number of International Code Committees to sixteen committees, each responsible for the review and evaluation of code change proposals submitted to the 14 International Codes (including the IgCC). The 2011 IgCC Code Committee will hear the code change proposals at the 2011 IgCC Code Development Hearing during the period of May 16 – 22, 2011 in Dallas, TX.

At this time, ICC is receiving applications for the 2011 IgCC Code Committee. 2010 IgCC Public Comment Hearing Committee members must reapply to be considered for appointment. Code Committee members are appointed by the ICC Board of Directors.

Travel required. In accordance with Council Policy #4 Members & Volunteer Travel Reimbursement Policy, members of ICC Code Committees are authorized to travel at ICC’s expense when participating at the Code Development Hearings, when authorized by ICC staff. Term: One year; January 1, 2011 – December 31, 2011.
